The Council formally designated Charlton Neighbourhood Forum and the Charlton Neighbourhood Area on 22.02.2022. Only one neighbourhood forum can represent a designated neighbourhood area. The purpose of the neighbourhood forum is to prepare a neighbourhood plan for the area, which sets out local policies and sites for development and designates land uses. The plan must be in conformity with the local plan, which is prepared by the Council. In order to produce a Neighbourhood Plan for Charlton in London, we need to follow a number of stages, set out in the figure below.
