The Forum is a constituted group representing residents, businesses (owners and workers) and elected representatives for the designated area. It was initiated by the coming together of local residents and amenity groups under the banner of ‘Charlton Together’ (see Charlton Neighbourhood Plan – History for more information).
The first Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on Saturday 13 July 2019 in the Charlton Assembly Rooms, Charlton Village SE7, where over 40 members saw the inauguration of the Forum through
- a presentation on the aims of the Forum and the need for a neighbourhood plan,
- discussions on the designated area,
- the presentation of a draft Constitution and
- an election of Officers.
However, the Forum has yet to be recognised officially by Royal Greenwich, a condition to securing the right to produce a Neighbourhood Plan.
