Charlton Forum

Charlton Forum is a constituted community group representing residents, businesses (owners and workers) across Charlton.  It was initiated by the coming together of local residents and amenity groups under the banner of ‘Charlton Together’ (see Charlton Neighbourhood Plan – History for more information). As well as people that live and work in the area, local ward councillors and other elected political representatives can be members of Charlton Forum.

Charlton (London) Neighbourhood Forum has been designated by Royal Borough of Greenwich on 22 February 2022 as the qualifying body to produce a neighbourhood plan for the Charlton Neighbourhood Area. The designation lasts for five years, at which point Charlton Forum will need to reapply.


Constitution

The Charlton (London) Neighbourhood Forum Constitution was amended following formal designation as a neighbourhood forum and neighbourhood area by Royal Greenwich on 22/02/2022.  The amendments were advertised to the membership in accordance with Part 3 of Charlton Forum’s constitution, ratified in 2019.  The amendments were considered at the AGM on 19 November 2022 (which was quorate) and the membership resolved to ratify the constitution with the changes. Annual General Meetings

Charlton Forum's most recent Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on Saturday 22 February 2025 at St Thomas' Church on Woodland Terrace.  The meeting was quorate, allowing Forum business to be conducted, including the elections for the Forum Committee. The new Committee took effect immediately.  Full details of the new Committee and elected Officers can be found under the About Us tab.  The next AGM is scheduled for April 2026.

  • The 2020 AGM was deferred due to COVID-19 restrictions
  • The inaugural Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on Saturday 13 July 2019 at the Charlton Assembly Rooms
